Nußdorf am Inn, April 2025 – The Dettendorfer company from Nußdorf is celebrating two centuries of successful business history—a family-run enterprise that has left its mark on the rivers and roads of Europe. But behind this success story stands not only the Dettendorfer family itself. Equally crucial have always been the dedicated employees whose commitment has helped shape the company into what it is today: an internationally recognized freight forwarding, transport, and logistics company with over 600 employees at more than 15 locations across four European countries.

An Anniversary Celebration Full of Bavarian Spirit

The Dettendorfer family celebrated the anniversary with a grand event attended by invited customers, international guests, political and business partners, as well as long-time companions. Even at the reception, visitors were welcomed with an impressive exhibition of historic vehicles displayed in front of the festival tent—from the original Inn riverboat to modern electric trucks. Tilmann Schöberl, a presenter from Bavarian Broadcasting, charmingly guided attendees through the evening, highlighting historical milestones and showcasing the company’s latest innovations.

Political Figures Congratulate on the Anniversary

Numerous distinguished guests attended the celebration, including the President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Ilse Aigner, Minister of Economic Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Hubert Aiwanger, Tyrolean Governor Toni Mattle, and South Tyrol’s Deputy Governor and Regional Councillor Daniel Alfreider.

In their welcome speeches, they acknowledged Dettendorfer’s outstanding role as a key partner in transportation and logistics, as well as the cross-border collaboration between Bavaria and Tyrol. Humorous anecdotes about Bavarian-Tyrolean relations repeatedly earned rounds of applause from the audience.

Recognizing Entrepreneurial Achievement

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of an honorary certificate by Dr. Manfred Gößl, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria. This award honors the exceptional entrepreneurial achievements of the Dettendorfer family and all employees over the past two centuries.

Local political figures also expressed their appreciation: Mayor Susanne Grandauer from Nußdorf, District Administrator Otto Lederer, and Mayor Stefan Lederwascher from Flintsbach emphasized their close partnership with Dettendorfer and presented a gift from the municipalities.

Traditional Celebration with Musical Highlights

Lively musical entertainment was provided by “Die Jungen Hinterberger”, the “Onkel Bazi Orchester”, and Dettendorfer’s own in-house band, which performed in two ensembles—young and old—to enthusiastic applause. In the specially erected festival tent, guests enjoyed Bavarian cuisine from caterer Kirner, along with beers from Flötzinger, AuerBräu, and Erdinger.

Employee Celebration Filled with Appreciation and Team Spirit

The day after the official event was dedicated to appreciating the company’s employees. A varied and attractive program—including a captivating magic show by Ben Hyven—kept spirits high into the early morning hours. Humorous stories from the past decades, shared by family members from three generations, added to the cheerful atmosphere and created unforgettable memories.

Surprise Gift from the EmployeesThe employees also wanted to show their gratitude and team spirit. Under the direction of Thomas Rinnhofer, they created an impressive sculpture of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers. The artwork was ceremoniously unveiled by Georg, Johannes, and Johann Dettendorfer. This thoughtful surprise will soon stand at the entrance of the headquarters in Flintsbach, symbolically accompanying the company’s transports and activities
